A little over a month with our Sunseeker in storage and craving camping soooo bad……upside wife and I have already booked three destinations for 23! Every day is one day closer to spring!

Ditto that. I got up to the storage unit once a week and talk to her (camper). Three and a half months till retirement. Time sure drags sometimes.

Yup. Up here on the North shore of Lake Ontario, our camping season completely shuts down by the end of October.

Talk about withdrawal……we’re suffering “Cold turkey over here!

I'm lucky. My trailer is in my driveway. I use it for an office when I need to be on a private zoom meeting (schoolwork). I also use it as a spare room for guests. And I could spend the night in it if I really wanted to camp, but would have to go to the back yard for a campfire.

It’s a bit different for us. Our motorhome is parked in our garage, never “stored”. We take our longest camping trip in the winter, so I look forward to winter (hot summer, not so much).

Speaking of campfires in the backyard, I’m out in mine tonight, sitting by the fire at a balmy 37*F and under a full moon. Love winter!

My hat is off to anyone who is able to plan 6 months ahead. Our Summer camping is usually planned a couple weeks in advance.

I already have a framework for our 2023 summer trip. Leave home a few days before Memorial Day and return the second week of October. I have several confirmed reservations already in the books and several reminders on my cell phone for many more. I’m just waiting for reservation windows to open for 2023 campgrounds.

Cool

Looking forward to flying out to the Caribbean next week and enjoying the beach, water sports and plenty of seafood.

At my age it's difficult to plan ahead. I quit planning my camping trips much beyond a general time and possible location. I keep my TT on it's own pad (with power) so it's ready to go as soon as I stock the refrigerator and add water. Being retired for 19 years now certainly gives me a lot of flexibility and thankfully I'm not "anchored" by regular Dr's appointments.

I boondock almost exclusively and only reserve a space in an RV park the morning of the day I'd like to spend the night (or two). Those stays are only to do laundry and restock for the next leg of my journey.

Right now I'm getting ready for a 30-45 day trip to SW Arizona and the only real "planning" will be in conjunction with the weather report between my house and roughly Redding, CA. I need a 3 day window in January that's free of snow/ice on the interstate and I'm gone.

Although winter is relatively mild in our area, SC, I still despise it. We do manage a few short weekend trips though. Retired and my reservation is set already. I will be on the same site April through October as a host at my favorite SC State Park. Can't wait to get back to work.

In Florida, we had two weeks of fall. 80 last week. I'll take a cold front anytime, as long as it only last for 3 days.

In Florida, and S Georgia, to get in the best State Parks, I have to plan and book 11-12 months out. Occasionally, I can grab a last minute cancelation, but rare.

Next trip in 4 weeks. Already have 7 weeks planned and reserved for 2023. We go a week a month, except for December. Camper at dealer for another week or 2 getting cosmetic work done. I miss her...

Not sure which SC park Traveling Circus was referring to, but I favor Edisto Beach State Park.

A year ago, I scored a reservation for 2 months on my favorite campsite at Gulf State Park in Alabama.

Last week I had to cancel the entire trip because of a medical situation in the family. Now I'm stuck here in frigid northern Illinois for the winter.

Grrrr....
