Hope it's not a problem sending you another pm, but my comments aren't necessarily for the whole forum. We also have a 2018 Forester 3011ds, and despite One Control problems, we love the rv. Saw you are based in Natchitoches, not too far from us. If you would care to, we'd love to know more about your experiences with your rv.
Only remaining big ticket issue is our recliners. I'm a big guy, and the recliners won't fully recline and the foot rests won't stay up with the weight of my legs. I'd like to find power recliners that recline fully, but haven't seen any that we thought would work for us. We are still looking.
We've been grounded with family surgeries since Dec, but think we see light at the end of the tunnel. Of course with gas prices going up daily, our trips in the future, may be fairly close to home.
Thanks for the prompt reply. I had an RV Tech come out earlier and reset the system and took pictures and video of the reset. I've reset the system probably 6 or 7 times to get the bedroom slide and the genny icons to come back up. Yesterday, I tried to reset it using the same method to no avail. We just came back from an 8-day trip, and it appears we shook something else loose. We're stuck again with the BR slide out, so it's easier to get to the control board. Going back out there (it's 3/4 mile away--very handy) to see if I can get the slide back in this morning.
I've talked with Emdee, who has a 2018 Forester 3051, about this situation. He thinks he can figure out how to wire in an "in-out" switch. I thought I had this thing whipped, only to have it come back again. I think it's time to see if a switch can be wired to a 12-volt source to control the bedroom slide. He wired a switch in his entry area so he can turn on his kitchen lights when he enters the unit.

so good to talk to you. great insights & a ton of great travel. You guys would love my little brother & his wife. they have been serious campers since about 2007. we actually kinda got them re-ignited in a way. i was always too busy as a pastor BUT NOW.. hahaha

Sorry to hear about your accident. I see you have your RV back from the shop. Question: Have you found a trustworthy and good RV shop in Louisiana? I bought my RV from Campers RV in Shreveport and although I got a good deal in buying, the service department is very much less than desirable. I've taken it to them once, but not again. I'm retired and live in it full time so am able to travel to any city for quality service. Thanks in advance.
