First to mind is Sam Houston state park. Nice, clean. Deer, picnic facilities. And bet dollar against a doughnut your brother knows where it's at. Moss Bluff area. Short drive to lake Charles, but family pulls in from California, and everyone ends up at camp.
Give me a little time, I'll look into Layfayette area.
