What kind of hitch do you use to pull your camper with? I am using a fast way E2 round bar... Basically the same as the equalizer brand.

I'm sort of confused due to the fact that I didn't notice any wandering or swaying with our previous camper that was about 2K lighter and 5' shorter...

Just wanted to see what your thoughts were... seeing as you are one of the few on here that seems to have much for any mechanical common sense and pulls a similar rig.

I have checked the ball joints and steering, both seem to be tight... I had a friend suggest maybe I had over inflated the tires for the load that was applied, so I dropped the pressure in the truck and trailer tires a bit and began feeling a little heel-toe beginning on them so re inflated to just under max of sidewall... I have since ordered air bags and a sway bar for my truck.

I noticed the trailer kind of chasing the grooves in the road as well... I also had the JetSki on the back tagging along, but I don't feel that the wandering is any worse than when I towed the camper solo.

I have got the air bags on yesterday as they just got in, of course after we got home from our 3 hour trip with the camper... and have yet to receive the sway bar...

just saw this. With my current truck, I have no wander. Occasionally (pretty much all the time in KS) the grooves in the road will push my trailer from side to side and the truck will follow. But is clear what the culprit. is. My 03 Excursion with the leaf springs wandered horribly. I went through a dozen things that all helped but did not eliminate. With your truck, I would be suspicios of the ball joints.

Hey do you have a wondering feeling with your truck and trailer in a cross wind? I have a subtle feeling of it and was wondering if just a rear end sway bar would take it out? Just curious since your combo is fairly similar.
