its possible, but you want to make these are not reversed as it will burn up 120vac devices plunged into your L2 of your 50A connection. With 120vac on the neutral and 120vac on L2 you will get 240vac on those items plugged into your L2 circuit.

Thank you for your input. We did have 50 amp service but l1 and neutral indicated reversed. We ran both ACs and operated fridge, microwave and wife even used her hair curler with no tripped circuit breakers or blown fuses. Is it possible that my tester is faulty?
