We do a fair amount to research. However, we are always aware of the regular places to emerg stay in the regions (walmarts/truck stops etc). We start off early each day and plan to locate a spot by 2pm... gives us a 2 hr window to come across something. we often end up on a beach /wharf/field/river bank. the DH is now getting use to it. She found it a bit stressful for the 1st few days and now she is looking forward to it. I have also been lucky to know an odd person or 2 in the areas we recently went to and they gave me a spot. we are thinking of enrolling in that database where people give up a space at their property. We pland to offer up our land too.

where are you located and travel?

I noticed in your thread, you indicated you were not campground people. We just purchased a TT and also are not campground people. How do you go about finding locations to park if you have never been to the area?
