Hi Dan. Yes I tow my 2306 with the X. Dry weight of the trailer is 3808lbs. I travel with empty tanks, usually 1 empty propane tank. With all my provisions, I've added maybe 300lbs at most. I'm a single guy- so not that much.

My X knows that it's pulling the 2306. I purchased a Bully Dog tuner which allows me to put different maps on the ECU. One thing I did was advance the timing by 2 degrees and removed the RPM limiter. Those 2 things helped.

I did a trip in September '16 where I went from sea level to 4000' in a day. The climb sucked back the gas, going back down wasn't as bad. Wind resistance is the big issue. But since I've spent years driving rigs on the highway, I was used to it.

I'm going to get my buddy to fab a deflector since there are none available for the X online. Or I could just put my fishing pontoon boat pontoons on the roof rack.

You should look into getting a Bully Dog. Made a difference.

    Cheers.

    Nurek.

    Nurek,

I noticed in your thread response that you have a mini lite and an Nissan Xterra. Do you tow with that Xterra? If so, how does it do? I have a 2011 Nissan Frontier with a Flagstaff 21 FBRS. The truck seems to have a tough time pulling the 21 FBRS. I don't believe it is the weight, I think it is the wind resistance. Just wondering how the Xterra performs.
