Thank you so much for the info. We are so excited about this transition and adventure. I regularly read these forums and see alot of great general posts and comments. However for the newbee's in us there are always a ton more. I will be leaving for Afghanistan here in a few weeks which is the begining of freeing us from being a slave to the mortgage and STUFF!! LOL

Great info on the gas millage, What are your thoughts on a wind break on top of your truck? Do you think they are really worth it?

We found some great folks just outside of Jacksonville Fla (least she was honest) for this model for 65k. So hoping I get a better deal when I return from afghan and the new 2012's come out.

Thanks again for the advise and will be sure to pass this on to the missus if you dont mind for her questions while I am gone.

Thanks again and enjoy your travels.

Hi there DaveBert, Congrats on your plans on buying the 36RL Ours has been a great purchase. We lived in it for 5 months in AZ and found it to be every thing we expected it to be. We pull it with a 2011 Ford Super Duty 3/4 ton 4X4 Crew Cab with an 8 foot box. The CC is 41 foot and our long pick-up puts us pretty long on the road.. We get around 10-12 MPG regardless of our speed. Diesel is a bit pricey but it's much better then my Silverado 1/2 ton pulling a 30 foot TT and getting 4 to 5 MPG. We did that two years ago going to AZ and home again. We are very happy with our 5th wheel set up and oh ya, one more thing..You will not find a better 5th wheel hitch then the Hensley Trailer Saver. It is so good that we can't feel that 5er behind us.
Good luck and if I can be of any more help, just holler.

Loving your new CC 5th Wheel. My wife and I are about 7 months out from purchasing 36rl. If you dont mind me asking, what are you pulling your CC with and are you happy with how the truck pulls it?
