I hear you and I think part of the issue with the 272RL is it can get tongue heavy since all the storage is in the pass through up front and if that's the case the f150 runs out of payload. I've heard of people getting the f150 Payload Package but apparently those truck need to be special ordered so trying to find a used one is tough.. If you're planning on buying new it might be something to look into.

    Gerry,
I love my F150 but I think it may be just not right for towing this big of a load. Probably going to go with the F250 or F350 with the new 7.3 gasser. Wish they offered an Ecoboast option for the F250/350's but heard good things about the 7.3.

Hello Jim - Just got our 2018 272RL and the 2018 f150 ecoboost max trailer package the tail end of the fall so not a lot of experience towing just yet. When we went for our first ride I thought I made a big mistake... Anything over 50 and the trailer was wagging all over the place. Before the next tow I adjusted the hitch ball 3 inches higher and it towed much better. I still don't have a much experience towing this combination longer distances so not ready to pass judgement just yet. I'll know more this next camping season... How are you making out with yours??

    Gerry Z,
We're bought our first camper this year and have been trying to reduce some sway issues to make the drive less stressful. I noticed you have a similar set up as I do so I thought I'd see how your setup does with sway. We have:
2018 Forest River Hemisphere 272RL (weighs in at about 8,500lbs)
    2015 Ford F150 Lariat 3.5 Ecoboost
    Propride hitch

I added a Propride hitch late last year and it definitely helped. I tried load range E tires on the F150 that may have helped a little but the ride suffered significantly when not towing (which is most of the time). I'm seriously considering going with an F250/350 next season to reduce the driving stress. How happy are you with the F150 towing your rig?
    Jim
