We were just up in your neck of the woods last week at Shoal Creek CG next to Lanier Island. DW attended a continuing ed class for her real estate teaching license. Nice CG, but really tight maneuvering. Roads were in bad shape, but site was real nice and access to the lake was great.

Hello, CSM. I'm Eddie Ratcliffe and I graduated Glynn Academy 1964 and was in Vietnam 9 months later with the 11th Pathfinder CO, 1st Air Cav. Three tours later, returned to SSI as flight instructor, then 23 years working with the gov. Retired now but still on SSI. Good to know you are on this website.

Sam Houston Jones state park! Sorry!

First to mind is Sam Houston state park. Nice, clean. Deer, picnic facilities. And bet dollar against a doughnut your brother knows where it's at. Moss Bluff area. Short drive to lake Charles, but family pulls in from California, and everyone ends up at camp.
Give me a little time, I'll look into Layfayette area.

Hi guys, does anyone have any camping suggestion for Dallas/Ft. Worth area? Will be there in June of this year for about 2-3 days.
