Thanks for the info Carl17. I'll look a little closer this next season. We did have bitter cold weather here in ND, but luckily so far, I haven't discovered any leaks. I'm also concerned about two other areas.

One is the black-water flush tubing that I have begun to wonder if there is a one-way valve in the line to prevent black-water fumes from entering the fresh-water compartment hatch (and drift into the fresh-water filler). If there is such a valve, it might back up residual water that could freeze.

The other concern for winter drain is the washer-dryer. We didn't add any water to the assembly, but looking back, I believe I vaguely recollect our dealer said they tested the washer-dryer which means the machine may have still contained some water. If so, and any damage ensued, we will probably normally never know since it is doubtful my wife will ever actually use it.

Thank you Carl. That helps. I have been a camper since about 88 or 89, i forget when we bought our first one, a class C Honey. ButI towed a 82 S10 back then with a standard towbar that can be bought anywhere, it worked well on some long trips, alsI pulled my daughters S1- from here in Virginia to Ocala Florida with it, no issues. anyway, I just sold a 98 S10 that had 5 speed manual that I had already put brackets on to tow but, had a lot of clutch issues and a few other things so I got rid of it, but, in seeing some Equinox being towed recently, I thought I would ask a few of you about it, and there you were, a perfect guy to ask..LOL Thanks for your reply, I will be out looking for a good used one to tow, I'm retired now and don't get too excited anymore wanting to spend money on new cars... anyway, thanks a lot..!

I like your idea of the Equinox..I have been looking at them to use as a toad...can you tell me anything about dealers part of prepping it or is it all in the guide that comes with it. Also, is there a specific model number for the blue ox tow system. I have an older cheapie tow bar sorta like the ones Harbor Freight sells. I used it on several trips pulling an S10 pickup. No issues with it. pulled from virginia to Ohio and Pigeon Forge. also to Myrtle Beach. I pulled my daughters S10 down to Ocala, Fla with it a few years ago, never had any issues with it. We had a 06 Jeep for awhile and pulled it to Myrtle Beach once. I really didn't like the jeep at all, it had them famous wobbles that some get at 45 to 50 mph. it was scary. so. I sold my s10 and I'm looking for something new. or used.
