    sorry just noticed your PM now. I supported the front of the trailer with a floor jack and then unbolted the tongue jack from the frame. 3 bolts attach the jack to the trailer frame behind the coupler. I rotated the entire jack counterclockwise 1/3 of a turn to so it lines up with the adjoining bolt holes. Then bolt it back together. The power jack head is now facing "sideways" and clears the dropped tailgate.
