My surge protector is the portable type (not hardwired) that we had from our previous RV. The Trimetric is surface mounted near/right above the CO detector and switches in the coach entry. The solar electrical hasn't been installed yet. I'm buying the components piecemeal as I can afford them (spreading the wallet pain over a longer period of time). I'm also thinking about adding a pair of 6-volt batteries if possible. I think they will fit in the outside compartment just to the left of the coach entry and then mounting the controller where the 12 volt house batteries currently are if it will fit. I know there are a lot of "if's" but that's what happens when you don't have all of the parts yet. Hope this helps.

Hi, That's an impressive list of mods to your Solera. I'm planning a few mods as well. We just bought a 2015 24R Solera a month ago, so I'm just getting started on my list of mods.

You've already done some of the electrical mods that I'm planning to do. Where did you locate the following:

    - Surge protector. Was it in the passenger storage compartment closest to the door to the coach, or was it somewhere else?

    - Trimetric battery monitor. Where is this located? I'm planning to add a solar system, so will be adding a charge controller. I'm trying to locate all of these so that I won't have regrets later on my selection.

    - Gary
