Thank you! We're booked at Salt Fork next month and I've camped at Delaware SP. We seem to always set our sights on big, distant trips because we've always been hikers first, campers second - and we've just about hiked everything in a 2-hour radius from here. Having the camper means we'll experience the weekends a little differently now and we are hoping to find a "regular" spot that we stay at two, three, four times a year now since it's so much more convenient than tent camping and I think my kids will benefit from really getting to know an area inside and out.
Deer Creek was our shakedown trip primarily because it's close to us on the SW side and it was available. We have Alton RV Park down the road we can use for a dump station and although it's pricey at $20 I can't beat the convenience.
We do love the Caesar Creek area and I'd like to hike the lake loop someday. Maybe that park will become our regular, there really is a lot to do there.
