How have you been, hope all is well? I still have my 270RET. So far so good. We used it almost every week end thru the summer. Stayed in Michigan this year camping. Both girls were married this year and late last year. Getting use to being empty nesters. They still camp with us when they can. Thinking about going to Fl. For the winter in 2017. Would like to leave about Jan 3d and come back in mid March.

the mechanic that repaired the damage did an excellent job. Found some photo's of what the slide out mechanics looked like before the damage, think I see the problem and its all related to a pivot rod that the slide out wiring etc; extends with. The vertical rod is about 8 inch's from the right rear tire and if bounced hard enough, I do believe it will make contact...that vertical rod was taken out when the tread came off the tire..the mechanic found a better way and placement of that pivot point..will have to send that photo to you..kickster

Sorry to hear of the problems. Main thing is no body hurt. The trailer can be fixed. Beautiful country up there. Sounds like you need to head back to make the rally and get it fixed for free.

Hey Randy, I believe you wrote last week about being an engineer for a tire manufacturer. I was researching Goodyear Marathons. I have to move up in wheel size to 16" from 15" and currently have Carlisle tires class E in order to accommodate the goodyears. I was told the Goodyear was the better tire in commercial line for the trailers. In your opinion, is there much difference in the Maxxis than Goodyear's class E? some hold that the Maxxis is better. Searching for answers for the best so I don't have to do it twice.

yep, we took the same route and with a low fuel supply, the next day the gas station that was close by was closed, we also had to move to another site after one night. Other than that, our stay there was pretty good, we were in site One and Five. When leaving we took another route south towards Bowling Green: Glad it all worked out for you folks, on yes we were pulling our crusader 270RET: followed the horse poop in the roads...

We had a great time there and a big adventurer getting to the park . Google maps and the gps took us in a bad way. Threw the back hills of ky. Road was hardly big enough for the 38 foot camper and truck worked its butt off pulling it. It was a white knuckle hair raising hour drive. (Lesson learned)

I have a 7 year extended warranty. My shore power plug separated at the camp site post plug. My warranty covered the cord. I told my wife “ lets see how good Prime Time “ is. I called prime time and told them my cord failed. They told me a new cord is on its way at no charge !!! My unit is almost 3 years old. Wow………….Great company to stand behind it product !!!!
