    hello,

We have been boondocking all over Alaska for 28 years. Have camped on Eagle Summit, Manley, Boundary, Chicken, Yukon Bridge, Ferry and the usual places. It is unfortunate that so many of the gravel pits are getting closed off. Last summer we made the trip to Galbreath Lake in our 2021 GT5 31L5. It was exciting.

I am converting to 4 x 100 ah lithium batteries with heat and bluetooth. They shipped to Alaska for $2300!! I am replacing the converter with the PD L one that charges lithium. I bought a Starlink and got the RV account that can be turned on and off. It Gets fantastic speeds here in Big Lake if there are no trees in the way. I am setting it up to run off DC, although it only uses about 60 watts of inverted AC (if there is no need to defrost the dishy). I use a Honda 2000 genny.

We had 5 bars of ATT at Galbreath Lake last year coming from the pump station nearby. Can't wait to go again this year. We did not see another class A on the trip of course.

Saw your post for installing a monitor on the dash. Got one but cant figure out where to hook it up behind the big monitor panel. Any info would help for sure.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi,

I've been reading some posts about lithium upgrades and using the Victron BMV-712. Hopefully, you can answer a newbie question I have. My current house battery setup is still stock from Georgetown, with all the positive running up to the battery control center and the negative side going directly to the ground. I want to install the Victron battery monitor, but question where the shunt would get located. It seems counterintuitive to put it on the negative side, between the battery and the ground, as the instructions say. It doesn't seem like it would recognize any of the load to the batteries or be able to give the SOC. Am I overthinking this??? Where is yours located in your setup?

    Thanks,
    Gregg

Thanks for the diagram. Checked all fusesbut lipper controller in coach still not powering up. Starting to think lipper controller is bad. I've reset it a few times but still no power to lipper controller.
    Thanks again for wiring diagram.
