Dead Battery 8182SS

We just picked up our new 8281SS and started to check everything out in front of the house. After turning everything off for the night we came out the next morning and the battery was completely dead. Now I know the battery won't last forever but I would expect it to last overnight with nothing on. It is my guess that there must be a short somewhere in the trailer. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Could the emergency brake pin have been accidently pulled out? That will drain a battery in just a couple of hours. (and likely damage the electromagnets in the brake system!)

It's probably not a short or you would be blowing fuses.
First make sure the battery leads are firmly connected.
A loose connection can fool you.

A meter would be helpful.
Check voltage across the battery with the trailer not plugged in.
IF you can run an extension cord to the trailer plug it in and check
voltage again.
You can run your trailer off a basic outdoor extension cord as long as you
don't turn on the roof air conditioner.

i'm guessing your dealer didn't inform you of all the parasitic power drains a RV has.

if the battery is good, you need to unhook the battery cable if you aren't hooked up to shore power.
or do what a lot of us do, install a battery disconnect switch.
