Dang birds

We did a weekend camping trip in LA, (lower Alabama) Friday to Sunday.

We had to remove 3 bird nests that were in various stages of construction before driving home today.

One was under the slide out topper for the bedroom. One by the coolant fill, and one behind the air filter.

Always check your stuff!

Perhaps I should put rubber snakes on the shopping list....

I've had to expel one birds nest and a large wasp hive from inside my kingpin...

Actually, the wasp hive is still in there...couldn't get it out.

But one can of wasp spray pretty much took care of the residents and will probably keep others from moving in!

Had a bunch of doves nesting in our tree at the end of the driveway trying to repaint our vehicles.

After the eggs hatched and they moved on I knocked all of the nests out of said tree.

Well, recently they started to move back in and rebuild.

So, I went to Walmart (Lawn & Garden department) and bought one of those plastic owls with the rotating head ($18 bucks), drove to the end of the road to the desert (about 1/4 mile drive) and filled it full of sand.

Put it on top of the shed the day before yesterday and now the doves are my neighbors problem!

:roflblack:

Sorry for the bad photo...shooting directly into the sun with my phone!

Now you have an owl problem. They can hurt small animals. [emoji23]

I just removed 3 birds nests from our home patio cover. After the chicks hatched, it drove my dog crazy. And the dog drove us crazy. We were glad when they finally flew the coop. Until next year!!
