wifi hotspot questions
 

so our new 2021 39dl came with onecontrol hotspot in the loft, and what looks to be an antenna on the roof.

nothing was mentioned in our purchase/walkthrough/delivery about this and we don't know what it's for.

can I hook up any LTE Modem to this and create a hotspot or do i need more equipment?

Cover on the roof says it all I do believe, prepped for a WiFi hotspot. My interpretation of that is need to buy the antenna and related "stuff".

"Hotspot prepped RVs are upfit with a hotspot antenna prep plate located on the roof of the RV. Simply remove the screws, detach the prep plate, connect the coaxial cables to the Hotspot’s antennae, and then finally screw the antennae back in place where the prep plate was"


it also says

"SIM card and plan activation information."

but I'm in Canada, can I just any sim from a Canadian carrier?

Pose that question to Lippert, see what they have to say. From what I can see it uses AT&T so may still be an option to our friends north of the border but really can't say.
