Toronto to bay of fundy
Hi we would like to plan a trip next year from just north of Toronto to the bay of fundy,
looking for ideas for campgrounds and best time of year to go ? We would probably be leaving on a Friday afternoon or Saturday morning early only looking to travel at most 6 or 7 hours a day. I understand we would probably be about three days getting to our Destiination. We are a couple in our late 40s we pull a 26 foot mpg cruiser couples trailer With a 2020 Dodge Ram Our friends pull a 28 foot fifth wheel Looking for all input Thanks |

We’ve gone through Quebec, and into New Brunswick to Bay Of Fundy National Park, and we’ve also crossed into New York State, and crossed through Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. There’s pros and cons to both and the travel times and mileages are very similar. If you private message me, we can discuss in detail where we can exchange phone numbers to really cover off the nitty gritty. |
When we went to the Bay of Fundy in 2013 we stayed at the KOAs in Mallorytown and then Quebec City both ways. Both nice places to stay a night or two. If COVID is over by then, the Quebec KOA may still run a shuttle into downtown Quebec where you can get on a tour bus. Its an absolutely beautiful city.
Between Quebec and Bay of Fundy National Park, we stayed at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Woodstock, NB. I don't recommend it unless you're travelling with young children. On the way back we stayed at Mactaquac Provincial Park near Fredericton, NB and enjoyed that. |

Thanks for the reply ! Looking at all and any suggestions |
Just a note , don't miss the Fundy Trail , you can start at St.Martins and continue on thru to Sussex now. Then on to Fundy National Park. Take the coast route to Hopewell Rocks before hitting Moncton. Kouchibiquac National Park is a great camp spot heading 2 hours north of Moncton. Nice bike trails and a beautiful long sandy beach.

KOA SOUTH Shore Montreal is about 6 hours nice campground. Fall and Gorge in Grand Falls would be the next place to stop . Nice trail to the water falls in Grand Falls From there an easy run to Fundy National

We did this trip a couple of years ago in the other direction up from Maine. I will first, second the recommendation of making time for the Fundy Trail.
Here are the places and campgrounds we stayed at for that section of our trip. Our favorite place and campground was the first but we had good experiences all along the route and I left detailed reviews of most of them on CampgroundReviews.com...which you should definitely check out if you haven't before. As you can see...we did NB but also Nova Scotia, PEI and then on to quebec city and montreal which we also loved. Have fun in the other direction! St. Andrews NB Kiwanis Oceanfront RV St John NB Rockwood Park Amherst NS LochLomond RV nice city park Baddeck NS BraD'Or Lakes Campground Perfect for a Cabot Trail drive base Hammonds Plains NS Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax Cornwall PEI Cornwall / Charlottetown KOA Levis Quebec Camping Transit RV...transport & ferry into old city St-Mathieu-de-Beloeil ...Montreal Camping Alouette train from town to City Center |

Call ahead and get the travel guide books for each province and then plan--plan & plan!!! July and August are the choice months weatherwise!!! J in Halifax |
