urgent: furnace wiring help needed 00 wildwood 27rkss (SOLVED)

furnace is MH12340 underwriters laboratories inc

model # 886112

I am in the process of listing my trailer for sale and was doing some cleaning. I stuck the nozzle of my hand held vacuum in the area where the wiring is being very careful ... the vacuum shifted positions and pulled the nozzle out of my hand causing it to pull on a couple of the wires where the furnace is wired. needless to say I now have a yellow wire and brown wire that I have no clue where they go. please help as my trailer is getting an inspection done soon to ensure everything is operable. :crying:

here's the best pic i could get.. there's no room in there at all.

I have:

one solid blue that is dangling

one yellow dangling

one very very thin red in a marette (something has to go with this one)

a very very thin white & solid blue in a marette

the other one closest to the bottom in the pic is two white with lt blue tracers. they are too long to accommodate either of the dangling wires. meaning the danglers won't reach that far, so can't go in there.

any help VERY appreciated.

I am thinking the thin wires are from the thermostat. You can check by pulling the thermostat off the wall and verifying they are red and white to the furnace.

As to where your other lose wire goes I would not hazard to guess.

You have a Suburban MH12340 furnace.

This manual might help.

The Tech Support for Suburban is here:

Airxcel | Suburban Manufacturing Service

thanks herk. I also figured thermostat for the thin.

I haven't done anything yet as it's a holiday here in Canada today and it literally happened about an hour ago... figured that I'd start here first...

I think I do have a manual for the furnace at home but highly doubt that wiring installation and colors are going to be mentioned.

Its possible the wiring schematics are available through an "installation" manual. We have install manuals for a couple of Suburban heaters in our Files section.

If we don't have it (because your unit is a 2000), than search the manufacturer's website. Also, you can Google the make and model and maybe get lucky with an install manual from a third-party site.

Good luck.

thank you triguy. I'll check it out and see. I've also just emailed suburban as well as the dealer my trailer was originally purchased from. my internet is spotty and slow here at the park but we'll see ..

thanks again and I'll check the files section

I think it is also on the inside of the furnace panel itself.

awesome. thanks so much.

so if I'm reading this correctly. the blues as we thought go to the thermostat. that being via the fine gauge red and white wires.

one blue with the fine white
one blue with the fine red
being that one blue is already with the fine white I know the other goes with the red.

this just leaves the yellow or the -12v vdc

being that the blues go with the fine red and white. the yellow must go with the white with blue tracers, 2 of which are in the one marette.

thoughts?

I think that -12VDC is ground. Not sure about what the white with blue tracers are...

those white with the lt blue tracers must be ground. in the fuse panel the +12v vdc at the bottom of the fuse holder itself is white with a dark blue tracer. then under the panel are 4 - 5 whites with various colored tracers, all in a clump so to speak. one of which is white with lt blue tracer.

at the furance the white with dark blue tracer is in a marette with a dark blue with white tracer and a red

sorry for the delay in replying just as I got it running my wifi device lost it's charge and needed a full recharge.

SUCCESS!!!!!

thanks to everyone for their help and stick-to-it-ive-ness lol

that yellow was the ground and was supposed to be in the marette with the two whites with lt blue tracers.

connected it, inserted the fuse into the panel and turned it on. ran and cycled no problem at all.

thanks again

you guys rock!!!
