Possible Campout Lake Waco Dec 2-6 Airport Park

We are camping Dec 2-6 at Airport Park, Lake Waco, looking to see if there is interest in an informal FROG event there.
Sites 55,59,61,62,64,75,76,77,78,79,80 are in a loop and all sewer sites, and as of right now all available for those date. If we have enough interest we will contact Bob at FROG. The park does have a big pavilion also.
Airport Park is a C.O.E. Park that has been closed since the May floods, is reopening Dec 1st.
Areas of interest nearby:
Mammoth National Monument, Baylor University, Texas Rangers Hall of Fame,
Texas Sports Hall of Fame, various museums, etc.

We live five miles from Lake Waco and would like to join the camp out. Do we need to contact the Corp of Engineers for a spot or do you have them already?

Hi DodgeMan,
We didn't book extra sites- they are all a little different- some have trees- some have shelters over the table, some are closer to RR, etc.
We only booked ours- 58. Welcome and we are looking forward to meeting other FROG members!

We love that park, and the MTB trails at Cameron park are great fun. I'd be interested for the 4th - 6th.

Edit: We booked #59

So far we have several inquiries: Dodge man, Sonny bransom and wlhpas and two reservations- us and Loraura.
So excited to meet more FROG members!!
Hopefully we can have enough people to have a pot luck dinner!
Also hoping the burn ban is lifted by then!

I called the local COE office and They are able to get on the website and show available sites.
They recommend you keep trying.
They also said they are working hard to get the park ready for Dec 1 opening.
