Well, at 80, mother nature hasn't dimmed the lights. But cboss described what does work, and it works perfectly. Installed 1 to the panel, a second to the fixture over dining nook.

My wife didn't care for that much sun coming in, so I used a lens tint spray. Did the trick. Rust-Oleum and VWT (probably others) offer the product.
