My best success has been using the wand, the Flush King didn't work.

My procedure is to fill using the wand and drain the tank several times after initial dump....

It is not necessary to drain the hot water heater after each trip.

I only drain ours for winterizing purposes and/or replacing the anode rod.

Just want to say that the L bracket adjustment worked just fine. A good towing set up got even better. Proved it out coming home yesterday for 186 miles on the interstate.
