Since I asked this question I talked to an old friend who is a GM tech. He likes the motor but says they break a lot. Still in design. YMMV

I hear they have great MPG when not towing. How do they do pulling a trailer? I do okay with my 5.3 gas 1/2 ton but it is getting old.

Thank you. I know the area has cell service, just no good landmarks. I would not be afraid of getting lost, just adding miles to my hike. I am actually hunting just outside of city limits.

I am really happy with this upgrade. I was using a 12 volt "converted" old vizio that did not like the slightest low voltage. Since we use Roku tv's at home I went with this one.

Most "newer Fords" were coil on plug, no spark plug wire. It looks like the 7.3 is like the GM LS motors individual coils with individual plug wires.
