Same! I made the mistake of leaving the rod out last winter. Came back to some nice rust on the threads when trying to screw in the new one. I learned my lesson

My lines are 1/2. I just cut the water filter housing off, put 2 shark connectors on both ends and cut a piece of pex hose and attached it to both ends. Works nicely

Make sure you get a few tennis balls, cut and place them over the ends of your gutter spouts. It not, the first time you pull the cover to even it out you will have some nice permanent vent holes...

Going to paint them. Plastidip them to be exact. I did buy the giant Rams Head badge that goes on the back of my tailgate. Was fairly cheap on EBay
