I hated my power awning when I got my rv. I researched and found out about the add on part Dometic was offering. They almost kept it "hush-hush" instead of offering it to anyone with a power awning....

My Salem is new to me as well, but I will say, for the money, the product has nice features. In addition, they seem to be pretty well thought out in regards to easy setup and takedowns, dumping, etc....
