Really? Manufacture Defect???

We had a siding panel come out of the front leading edge (port side) while coming out of the Badlands. Progressive Insurance rep is stating that water damage and manufacture defect must be ruled out...

I just did all edges with the 4" wide tape. On the aft seam I put dicor down on top of the tape. This weekend I am going to go back down the port and starboard sides and put down dicor as well.
