The only place the critters can come in is at the bottom around the hinge. Cut a pc of screen and attach it to the frame and tape it to the door and cover that opening or just make a screen to fit...

Get some alum screen wire and cover the inside of the wh door and secure with the alum tape. Just make sure it is alum or steel screen wire, not the plastic.
