Interesting. I didn't even think about that - you're right, with the quad-steps, it's likely to be less than 8 1/2" from the bottom step to the ground.

Ha. I see how you arrived at that conclusion - I just meant the whole project was pretty spendy (steps AND the jacks for it). I wouldn't do one without the other.

I thought the step height decreased to 7" rise between the steps (instead of 9" for the normal 3-step steps). That's what I read about the QuadraSteps, at least.
