It looked so lonely and forlorn I went over just to see if it did work. It had a dial tone. In an emergency we could have made a collect call home I guess. Our cell phone was useless.

I agree totally. Many parks are in the boonies...

I agree totally. Many parks are in the boonies where cell coverage is spotty at best. But I would have located the phone at one of the bathhouses out of the rain. :rolleyes:

Right next to us at Indian Springs State Park....

Right next to us at Indian Springs State Park. Middle of summer. Not Halloween. It lights up at night.

Never did figure out why.
