I have done it as needed.
Maybe switch CC companies. I use AMEX almost exclusively and not had problems with them reversing charges when called for.

As my plumber put it, he says given the choice to put the extra cleanouts in when running the line or having to run out the big drain cleaner if it backs up, he opts for the closer cleanouts.:)
