2020 Mini Lite 2511S Changes

Visited a new 2020 2511S at our nearby dealer to see what interior and exterior changes were made from our 2019.5 model.

Interior changes:
- A drop down kitchen counter extension replaced the former leg type extension. Much better use of the counter space.

- The Wi-Fi on/off switch has been moved to one of the rocker arm switches on the control panel.

- Floor is a very light color.

DW and I looked over the entire interior and did not notice any other changes.

Exterior changes:
- Power tongue jack is made by FIC. Our power jack is made by RAM. Both are 3500 lb. capacity.

- That’s it, no other changes we could see to the exterior except color graphics.

Cabinet extension

Thanks for update on new 2511s. Ours is a 2019, but bought in April 2018, so has some features of the 2018. I actually mounted our kitchen cabinet extension. Got tired of trying to put it up and take it down. Hinges off Amazon and cut and bolted boards to side of cabinet and mounted the top. Left the leg extension for added support when it is out. Works great.

2511S Digital Thermostat Installed

Replaced my Coleman Mach analog thermostat with their digital thermostat. Coleman Mach has a direct replacement. Mounting holes are same. I used needle nose pliers to pull out the wire connectors in the wall. Match up same colored wires from the analog thermostat, cut an splice wires, use new wire caps and electrical tape. Easy replacement, took 30 minutes.

I got my digital thermostat on Amazon:

We have bought what I think is the same one in white. It is ready and waiting for us to pick up our new 2511s and install. This will likely be the first of many mods.

Great! The white digital Coleman Mach thermostat should be same replacement as the black one. BTW, there are 6 colored wires coming from the digital thermostat (same 6 wires as on the analog one) to be connected.

So far seems to have fixed the problem. Finally found another new 2511 and they have slightly modified the slide out electric “belt”. Guess others were having a bit of an issue too.
Great info. Thank you. I put a small 10" bungee next to each zip tie just in case one of those zip ties break. Bungees or extra zip ties should prevent a potential broken wire.

My experience is that those bungees will rot before the zip ties ever break.

Thanks. Yes, the bungees wont last beyond zip ties. Had a bunch of these bungees lying around. I plan to change them for extra zip ties before they deteriorate.

Douper Collapsible Shelf Brackets... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QKYNB5J?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Had to cut boards and bolt to side of cabinet to support the hinges. Took a little finagling but works great. We had Sherwin Williams mix a paint to match the cabinet stain as too hard to match the stain itself.

Can send close up pictures if needed.

We both feel adults or kids could sleep on it. It folds out very easy, small storage underneath to put bedding and a blanket.

I don’t have a photo of our HAB folded out, but plenty of room to get past it walking to either end of the trailer. This link has photos of the pre-July 2511S HAB sofa and also shows it folded out.

Only difference we know is that our chocolate HAB is a little darker than the one you see in the above link. It comes with a nice long folding table (you will see it in the link), but it is very heavy so we are looking for a lighter one.

Can you tell me how wide the HAB is?? We’d like to replace the dinette with the HAB

2 great modifications 2511 s

Found some extra room in cabinet just inside door. Bit of a journey but able to cut opening and build a box for much extra storage for purses, shoes etc.

Also, placed steady fast system on the trailer - makes huge difference in movement when parked.

Need to find constant 12v power for my furrion back up camera. It seems my 2019 Chevy Silverado has a computer chip that monitors power and does not send a constant 12 volts to the camera. I thank you you in advance for any input.
Thanks

Don't know what you mean by the sentence in red.

Most backup cameras are powered via the tail lights. Turn on your TV's running lights and you should have power.

X2. Your park lights or headlights have to be turned on for Furrion monitor to come on. Constant 12v power comes from your cigarette lighter.

The 2019 truck has some kind of computer chip the limits electrical output to the voltage it thinks the items need. Unfortunately the camera gets power then the truck changes the voltage. I have found I am not the only one with this issue.

First time out since the post. Yes, keeping the headlights turned on and not on automatic has done the trick.
Thanks Again.

Towing question

Hi Guys, so I am sure some eyes will roll with this question but here it goes anyway. I obviously have a 2511S but I pull it with a 2000 chevy 1500 2wd Silverado. It has the 5.3 and 3.73 rear end gears. We are planning a camp and there are two pretty substantial hills along the way, one is very steep, but only about a mile long the other being a 6% grade sustained for several miles ( I live in Oregon). My buddy cranked up my anxiety by saying I would need to try and keep my rpm around 3k max. Reading the specs, my trucks Max Torque is at 4k rmp. So I am just worried and don't want to blow up my truck, should i just let the auto trans and computer do it's job or should i keep the rpms between 2 to 3k? Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Does your truck have a tow/haul button/switch?
