New truck!

Selling my 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500 LTZ Duramax to my dad. He is getting rid of his 2005 Sierra Duramax and I got a 2014 Ram 2500 Laramie Cummins!

I've had 2 F-250's and a Silverado 2500. Never thought I'd own a Ram but they do in my opinion have the the nicest interior of the big 3.

The ram gets highest marks for interior comfort from Car and Driver. If I could go back in time I'd look really hard at the Ram.

Now if only they could move from the cellar and get the highest marks for reliability. That's what keeps me from buying one.

Don't want to dog on the RAM guys, we all have our preferences. I'm in the market for a New/lightly used Chevy Silverado or Colorado. Downsizing from a GMC 3/4 ton diesel.

The OP is in Louisiana.

Down south here they all stay purdee. If they lived in Nebraska that would be a different story.

Our Ram diesel just does its job well.

Their Cummins engine is the best. 20+ mpg on the highway. 11 mpg towing #15,000.

I think most of their bad press is from the 1500. I think they sell the most diesels.

Yeah.. I know. I lived in SoDak for 20 years prior to moving to Georgia. I'm currently in Iowa on vacation and see rust bucket after rust bucket. Cold winters and sallt are really hard on these vehicles.

When I first moved to Georgia it would really throw me off. I was so used to seeing 10yr old vehicles with the beds rusted out it was shocking not to see it.

I'd have to agree that the RAM (or Dodge) was probably the worst.

1400 miles on my Ram, so far not a single problem.

Until they get flooded by torrential rains or a hurricane. Then not only is the metal corroded but the electrical is trashed, too.

Just got new shoes on the Ram. I got the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Surprisingly they are super quiet. Now I just gotta wait on my Andersen Ultimate hitch to come in. Should be here Thursday this week. My Silverado had above the bed rails for my Pulrite hitch but the new Ram has B&W Turnover ball installed. Wife wasn't happy but I wanted a new hitch anyway . We have a trip planned for the first weekend of August so I'm ready to get her all buttoned up and ready!

My Andersen hitch came in yesterday and I put it in last night. Very easy install. One thing I don't like about it is how high you have to extend the front landing gear to get it to clear the ball. This truck sits up very high so I know that plays a huge factor in that. Gonna do a test pull this weekend and see how she pulls.
