    Awning Lesson Learned - expensively

This is an excellent tip. Thank you for reminding us that the red fuse fail light only works with a completed circuit. :trink39:

parallel batteries, one at '0' volts

The bottom light (when in battery mode) reads voltage, not capacity like when you are reading your holding tanks. It was telling you that your battery bank had just enough voltage left to turn on a 5 volt LED (dead - less than 6 volts on a 12 volt system). There is a chart here that I will try...

MorRyde - Broken gas strut bolt - again

This is the third time this bolt has broken nearly cracking my noggin. The threads of the bolt also chew up the hole in the stair itself. If anyone from MorRyde sees this, sending out replacement bolts is great and all but maybe a new design might be better. Ordered more from...

This came out of one of my water screens

Who does your winterizing? They need to isolate the water heater and drain it via the outside plug and never by draining through the low point drains. All that muck will get into your cold-water pipes if you don't.

This came out of one of my water screens

THIS! If you drain the hot water heater through the low point drains it WILL allow heater crud into your cold water pipes (the bottom pipe on your heater). Then when you pressurize your system, that crud gets blasted into your faucets and the flush valve on your toilet. Don't ask how I know.

    Black Tank Sensors - puzzle

OK, sorry it took so long before I got back to this thread. Here is some useful (I found) tank indicator information I have accumulated over the years. Video on why tank indicators are unreliable and why it is NEVER "toilet paper on the sensor". Typical install: Horst Dynamics sold their...

    Black Tank Sensors - puzzle

I highly recommend changing your sensors from the OEM button style to the Teflon shielded stainless steel wire type. I am on my phone but tonight I will upload some links to what used to be called the Horst Miracle Probe. They are now sold by a different company.

    Black Tank Sensors - puzzle

My two Zincs. Tank capacity is greatly affected by camper levelness and sensor location. Here is a photo taken of my freshwater tank sensors while parked in my driveway. As you can see, if the tank (with the same quantity of water) is angled one way, the tank can no longer accept more water...

    Stabilizers

What he said even if it's the Lippert style. It is also possible the gears are stripped inside the gearbox. If that's the case, you will need a replacement motor assembly or the whole stabilizer unit depending on your skill level. https://store.lci1.com/electric-stabilizer-motor-352338...

upgrade to 50amp service from 30amp

That 20amp breaker is getting HOT with this load and is most likely damaging your wires. Remember that the 20amp breaker rating is based on amps and time. The breaker is rated to hold 20 amps indefinitely. It will also hold closed in an overloaded condition for an amount of time...

Solar Power for a Travel Trailer

I believe you have been misinformed as to the capabilities of the system you linked to. Just because it has a 3600 watt rated pure sine wave inverter as part of the system, does not mean it can supply that. You could put a 10,000 watt inverter in that system and it still won't supply 3,600...
