Hi all, been a while since I’ve posted. Just wanted to share a kitchen sink upgrade I did last night. They didnt run a bead of caulk around the undermount so water would collect and swell the cardboard countertop. Looked terrible. I tried caulking with white post damage but it just made it look like a gas station urinal. So I had to change it. Went a little bigger (28” vs 25”) and it came out great. See pics. Everything was amazon special delivered in 2 days.

No, no special tools. I marked out the new opening with a square and used the front as the starting point, since I wanted to remove as much damaged/swelled countertop from the back as possible. Then cut it out with a jig saw. The faucet hole was a little off so i had to use a coping saw to open it up since the jig saw wouldn't fit back there. Might have been able to use a hole saw using the sink as a guide but i was too lazy to go look for my kit. Then a fat bead of silicone all the way around to mount it to the countertop. You can adjust the p-trap to get it to line up pretty easily.

You could skip all that and just get a 25” sink

Nice job JC. I will be doing the same thing this summer on our Wildwood Lodge. Same problem with swollen countertop. Would you please post the Amazon link for your sink....it's the one my wife wants to have installed. Thanks....

PS.....gas station urinal.....too funny !!!

I did the same upgrade recently with a similar sink from e-trailer. I had to trim some of the countertop to get it to fit, but it was pretty simple with a jig saw. The original sink was an undermount and it had broken from it's fasteners and was just hanging by one or two fasteners, so I replaced it with the stainless overmount. I didn't take any pics but I will next time I'm in the trailer.
