2000 forest river reflections transmission question

Have a 2000 cummins isb 5.9 and an allison trans on Spartan chassis
The trans temp light is coming on all of a sudden and throwing the trans into a limp mode type situation. After I shut it down it resets and shifts fine again until light pops up again trans does not seem hot when it comes on.was perfect prior to first fault light coming on.also trans not stuck in 3rd gear and it shifts fine when light is out.Any help would be appreciated thanks Billy.

Could you please give a little more information about your rig.... a 2000, make, model number? Forest River has lots of different rigs.

ISB 5.9 WITH ALLISON 1000 4 SPEED TRANS.
Spartan chassis.
