My 2005 Rockwood 8318SS dinet slide refuses to go out the full distance, It stops at around 3 inches from full extension. I have been under it turning this and cranking that with a little success and a better understanding of how things work.....and now I need expert advice.
The system is an electric motor with twin square telescoping tubes driving the pinion gears. The rack gear is on the bottom of C channels that have a 3/4inch super long threaded rod inside (i can feel them, not see it)
Ok, here's the deal, I can detach the tele tubes separately and crank on them with a pipe wrench to retract/extend the ends of the slide out. Unfortunately , only one side will extend the full distance and the other will not budge.
More information for those still reading....the side that I can move has a cotter pin thru the threaded rod to stop rotation and seems to rotate freely (if I remove the pin), the side I can't has no pin and I can't rotate at all AND it's near impossible to get any kind of wrench in the C channel to try.
Any ideas?
