2006 Model CVDH FEMA Travel Trailer-- I just purchased this camper and have no previous knowledge of campers and how to connect the water. We bought this for my granddaughter and great-granddaughter to live. I have the water hose connected to the city water port and water is pouring out of the two black pipes under the trailer on same side close to the edge. Pipes look to be about 1/2 inch in diameter. One of the black pipes has a cap on it that if screwed tight will not leak water. The other pipe directly beside it does not have any type of cap and water flows out freely. I thought there might be a valve somewhere that changes from a freshwater tank to city water inlet but I don't know for sure and cannot find any kind of valve. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

These sound like the plumbing system drain lines.... which are used to 'gravity' drain the water lines when winterizing a camper...some campers have valve handles to turn to shut these drain lines off, others have a 'plug' that 'screws' into the end fitting on each pipe. ( sounds like what you have). I'm not sure of the size to tell you, but if you take the one you have into a hardware store they could probably set you up.

Since this trailer is not a Forest River product and it has no model number to look up, you're going to need to provide way more information, especially pictures. Pics are often more helpful than descriptions.

We have no idea what you're looking at.

Also FEMA trailers aren't configured the same as a RV.

My best suggestion is to seek assistance from a friend or family member, that is familiar with RVs.

This is just speculation, but I think these FEMA trailers are configured more like a mobile home than an rv. You probably don't have a fresh water tank because they are meant to be permanently connected to water.
I think t-town is correct that the lines are hot and cold drain lines. You could test that by turning off the water to the trailer.

Welcome to the forum!

You were exactly right. We were able to get a fitting and plug that line. Thank you so much for your help. Everything is working as it should now.
