2014 Palomino Columbus Furnace 340RK

Took delivery of our 340RK 12.1 and have fought ongoing control issues with the suburban furnace. Furnace comes on, cycles through two or three cycles then stops coming back on. Power the unit off at the thermostat, it comes back on and heats through two or three more cycles. After changing the control board three times, Suburban authorized the repair tech to upgrade the board. Fourth board now installed and running great over the last week. Suburban admitted they have suffered through a bad batch of boards and replaced over 1000 units in the last six months. This is the only issue we have had, been in it every weekend.

Hi, im glad someone has purchased a 340 RK. Im really interested in one on the showroom floor here in Sturgeon bay WI. Its a 2014 with autolevelers/JT Strongarms also. I just love the openness of the living area and the rear kitchen is huge. please keep us informed on how much you like it and any problems that seem to be normal for this 5er. we are full timers, and have been for 4 years so dependability is a major factor. Anyway I just wanted to thank you for your post. If I do buy it, I will keep that in mind. Again Thanks.

Suburban boards are cheaply made junk and fail often. When it is time to replace, try out one of these aftermarket ones. They are being used for warranty replacement also.
