I hope im posting this in the correct forum, this being my first post...
I have a 2015 Forest River Vibe Extreme Lite - Model 279RBS I can't get the slides to work...
Here's what I've done so far but I'm stuck now.
1. 2 new batteries plus checked voltage to make sure.
2. Replaced non-resetable short stop breakers/fuses (not sure of correct name) behind battery
3. Have power to Slide In/Out rocker switch
4. Found 2nd fuse panel behind hidden panel-checked each fuse(with volt meter)
5. Had a friend help me operate Slide In/Out Rocker switch and I have power to hidden fuse panel as well...
6. But No power to 2 slideout motors!
7. Last thing- Hooked a spare battery to both motors and they work perfectly

Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to give you a good idea of what I've done so far.
I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I'm thinking its something simple but I'm about to pull my hair out!

Thanks for allowing me to join this group and also thanks for your time!

Two new batteries wired to the correct polarity? White wire is ground (-). DC motor will spin the opposite way intended if polarity is wrong and slide limit switch may prevent movement. Backwards polarity should blow the battery protection fuses in the power center too.

you need to find the control box for the slide , Since it sounds lime you powered the motors remotely they work . what type of slide mechanism , Schwintech will have a control box as will a couple other brand slides

Steve, it sounds like you have a Schwintek slide system.
There are tons of Schwintek troubleshooting videos on the internet.
The challenge will be finding the slideout controller box.

I'm thinking its a Lippert slide. Do they all have slide controllers also?

Lippert bought Schwintek.
I looked at a walk-through video for your trailer and it doesn't look like either slide is a Schwintek.
When you said "2 slideout motors", it made me think Schwintek since their slide system has a motor on each side of the slideout.
So are you talking about a single motor on each slideout? If so, I'm not aware of a slide controller for that type of system but I come wrong. My previous trailer had a single slide motor and there wasn't a controller box.

I'm sorry for my wording. I meant one motor per slideout. I appreciate your reply and your help. I just don't know what to try next. This forum is far more helpful than the folks at FR. Like an act of congress to ask someone if there is a slide controller or fuse that I'm missing!

It's hard to get help from any of the Towable divisions, even as an original owner of a newish trailer, let alone a 10 year old trailer.

I'm thinking maybe the problem is in the wiring from the fuse panel to the motor?? I'm hoping there is no slide controller. That being said, is it possible for me to just run a new wire to slide motor from fuse panel? What's your thoughts on that?
