I have a new to us Forestriver Flagstaff A Frame Toy Hauler. The 7 pin is tow cable is damaged. I need to replace it.

I’ve searched the documents and haven’t been able to locate the exact wiring diagram. There are a ton posted…but it’s so hard to tell if it’s correct for my trailer.

Does anyone have a confirmed diagram for my camper?!?!

Thanks in advance!

Moved thread from the Tech and Repair section to the A-frame sub-forum for better help from other A-frame owners.

At least for my 2019 A-frame, Roberts RV Sales in Denver had pre-made 7 pin harnesses that connect with camper wiring near the junction box under the a-frame of the trailer. Harnesses were available in 4 and 6ft lengths. No wiring diagram needed, just connect the connectors.

Roberts sells A-frame and pop-up parts, and ships at reasonable rates.

I second phandw’s advice, get a replacement from Roberts Sales. They are awesome to deal with.

That’s great advice…I crawled under my camper and took a couple of pictures. I don’t seem to have a traditional “junction box”

I have what looks and feels like a molded rubber piece. Is this what you are referring too?

That rubber piece is 2 cables connected together (2 rubber covered plugs). That's where the 7 pin cable joins the camper wiring. Just replace the entire 7 pin cable unless you enjoy wire tracing and joining. Roberts and Forest River should have the pre-wired cable in 4 and 6ft lengths so it can be adjusted to the 7 pin plug on your tow vehicle.

If you are a glutton for punishment, you cut the cable and join wires manually. Been there, done that on older trailers.

Go to the Roberts Sales “Parts” page and look for “wire loom” the one for yours is $43.

Awesome…I called Robert’s it sounds like they might not have anything longer than 60”. I’m keeping my fingers crossed I can order a longer one…I need 72” minimum

Welp…60” inches is the max length available from Robert’s. I did also call Esco (the manufacturer of the 7 pin) apparently they manufacture the 7 pin cable then send it to RV Pigtails to manufacture the Forest River/Flagstaff end or junction. I’ve got a call into them to see if they have or if I can special order a new cable in a length longer than 60”. Their website indicates that they have lengths 60” and 144” nothing in between…finger crossed!

An alternative would be to get an extension. They are under $20 on Amazon. Curious why you need that much length.
