Hello. We have purchased a relatively new 2019 FR Georgetown XL 369ds and the previous owner never mentioned the inverter or its location and we are on our second road trip (1500 miles each trip)…I’ve been googling and trying to find out where this inverter would be located in the 2019. The fridge is a 3 door full size residential - full electric and it says Inverter Linear on the front. While driving it only runs when we start the generator. It says that these RVs come with inverters but we don’t know where to find ours as it may need to be turned on or reset.

Also, one other question…the thermostat in Livingroom and master bedroom both have options under “mode” of A/C, heat and heat strip? What doea heat strip mean/do? Vs just “heat”?

Thank you in advance

The inverter in an XL only powers the residential fridge, nothing else. Apparently there is an outlet on the inverter itself, wherever it is, and some people have run a cord to it to power something else.

It's unclear to me but if you mean the fridge does not run without the generator running then be certain you have house batteries connected while driving.

If there is a compartment above the propane tank look there. Some later models have an inverter there. Someone who knows an XL will have to say for certain where the fridge inverter is located.

"Heat" may be just the propane furnace. "Heat strips"are electrical heating elements up in the roof unit that can provide some heat without burning propane. Some people have written that it can take a while before you feel heat coming out of the ceiling vents.

Your 369 is similar to my 377. The inverter in mine is on a shelf above the propane tank. The shelf area is enclosed by a black panel with an inspection port. I found it easiest to just remove the 4 screws that secure that panel when I have needed to access the inverter. You should have a remote on/off switch for the inverter somewhere inside; mine is on the top of the switch panel near the entrance door - pictured below. When you are on the road just make sure your battery switch is in the connected position and the inverter is on to keep the residential fridge running without having to use the generator.
