Hi all,
First post, so apologies if I am missing information. We have a 2021 Vengeance rouge 32v toy hauler. Earlier last year we started experiencing issues with our shore plug, when plugged into the generator (3500 Generac with converter) the plug works fine powering everything in the camper. When we try to plug into an extension cord (tried both GFI and non GFI plug and made sure it is a heavy duty cord) it pops immediately. We turned off all of the breakers and it still will pop immediately. We replaced both the extension cord and the shore plug to rule out that they were the issue.
some things that may or may not be relevant:
-The plug on our truck melted while plugged into the camper. Potentially could be the culprit but we rarely camp without using a generator so we didn't notice the issue until later in the season.
- When we turn off the main power switch the fridge/freezer fan and light was still running. unplugged the fridge and fan shut off but light remained on. Hubby pulled the fridge out and noted that there was a green wire hooked up with a red wire on the back of the fridge, unhooked that and the light went out but shore plug is still popping immediately. Unsure if this is related either or just another coincidence with the camper.
