Hello. First post here and I've been scouring the these pages for my issue and haven't seen it yet. We just recently purchased a 2021 Wildwood 273QBXL, and we're having a couple of slide out issues. The first being that the slide out floor beneath the couch/lounge is extremely warped. Like warped enough that the storage doors attached to the floor no longer hit the magnets on top that hold them closed. A fellow XLite owner I saw in passing at our local campground said that these campers have that issue, and there is some kind of "kit" or other repair that fixes this. Is anyone else aware of this? Also, the slide out is out of time, so one side starts opening enough to bind it up before the other side starts. I figured I could just re-set the controller, but I can't find it for the life of me. Does anyone know where to find it in this model?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

You're not alone here. Something happened in MY 21 that has caused the 273QBXL model to have more than its fair share of slide issues. Not sure if it was a design change, covid impacts, Forest River just got sloppy, or all of the above.
We had the slide in our 22 273QBXL rebuilt under warranty. It was so bad; the siding was wavy, exposed screw heads in the siding, and the whole unit sat 1" too low in the opening of the trailer. The slide was so out of alignment, I could stick my hand between the slide and the body where the panels meet the wiper seals. It was a hot mess.
Now it is pretty close to perfect. Fingers crossed!!! I say a little prayer every time I hit the button to move it!

The control unit for the slide is on the left side of the slide, on the wall at the floor between the cabinet and the slide.

Best of luck!

Thanks so much for the response! I'm hoping I can just reset the controler and that will resolve at least one of the issues. I thought I looked everywhere for it, but not there!

fix kit?

any information on the "fix kit" for the slide sag on the 273QBXL? parts number, make, model, etc...anything? in desperate need of one and im out of warranty. looking for where to purchase.TIA

Any links with more information? What is the sag and what is this kit doing to fix the problem?

I've been having problems with my slide for several years. Many attempted fixes did not work. According to my shop the problem is with the way it was built. There is too much space around the slide. Either the hole was cut too big or the slide was built too small.

I'm hoping for Forest River to rectify.

The controller looks like the one I've pictured. There is a reset procedure on the face of the controller. As to where it is located, it could be behind any blank panel. You'll have to open them up and look. Ours is under our jack knife sofa. I have to remove the panel below the sofa to get access. There is a reset/manual button you may need to press multiple times. Press it, move the slide until it stops, then press it again. It may only move 3" to 6" at a time.

Here is what you must do, after you get the slide synced. NEVER partially extend the slide and NEVER partially retract the slide. AND at the end of the slide travel, in or out, continue to hold the switch depressed for 5 to 10 seconds. You will likely hear the motors shut down. Then and only then release the switch. This is per the manual. Link provided.

Someone responded regarding full extension or retraction, that there was a tree in the way which prevented full extension of their slide. Well, there are 2 choices: (a) move the tree, (b) or move the trailer. Whichever you deem easier.

If you follow the procedure the slide will work flawlessly. If you don't, then expect to have issues and be required to resync the motors. The idea of" let me move the slide out a bit to get some room to get by", is a giant NO NO. All the way out or all the way in are your choices.
