I'm having an issue with my 2022 E450. I have the tow package with factory 7-way connector. I ordered the 3034P, but the pins are in a completely different place than my factory connector. They are in a straight line on one side of the connector. I hooked it up, but it didn't get power. I started looking at the other options, and the 3036P has the exact same pinout as my connector. My theory is that Ford stopped making a brake controller for the E450 in 2017, but continued to put in the connector. At some point, they changed the wiring to match the F350 2017 to Present. I'm assuming the F350 brake controller would work, but it wouldn't fill up the change compartment that gets removed. The aftermarket controller has more advanced features any way. I'll give it a try when it gets here and report back for others.

Your post is lacking some details. What is a “3034P”? A wiring harness or a brake controller? From Ford, from Tekonsha or other aftermarket?

What is included in “the tow package”?

The 3034-P is a wiring harness that is supposed to work with Tekonsha Prodigy P2 brake controller. I ordered the 3036-P harness and it worked perfectly. Below is my wiring, no changes required.

Function Color Pin Pin Color Function
Brake Blue 14 14 Blue Brake
Ground Black 3 3 White Ground
