Hi everyone, longtime viewer of threads, but this is my first post.

I purchased a brand new Surveyor Legend 19BHLE from a local dealer in southeast MI in August of 2022. I've had many of the issues with that line and model that I've seen mentioned on this site. This includes; the gasket around the windshield being installed improperly and leaking, the door being installed incorrectly which caused it to be hard to close, the slide failed to work on our fifth trip and had to have a piece of track replaced, the sewer valve leaked from our first trip, and we recently had an infamous Castle Rock tire explode on the interstate at just two years old, which caused a total loss. Those are all things that Forest River is most definitely aware of and unconcerned about.

My only new issue to add to this line that I have not seen anyone comment on previously has to do with the Greystone microwave/convection oven. On what turned out to be our last trip in this trailer I dropped something from the counter above and injured my hand on the vents on the garnish surrounding the microwave while trying to catch it. The vents were not rolled or made smooth and my hand hit one of the razor sharp slats, taking off all of the skin on the knuckle of my right first finger. I ended up with a hospital visit, five stitches, lost time on my family vacation, and I was not able to submerge my hand under water. We were staying at a state park on a lake, so that put a damper on the remainder of the trip.

Once I got home I contacted the dealer we purchased from and got a phone number for the Surveyor line from them. When I called I spoke with Lauretta Moore in the warranty department and she told me to send it to an approved dealer to start a claim. After doing so, the dealer was sent a "replacement" garnish to install on my trailer. It arrived just as sharp as the first garnish and it also had a large dent on the front. Even if it was smooth or rolled it would not have been useable.

Before my trailer was deemed a total loss because of the Castle Rock blow out, Ms. Moore seemed willing to help. She asked me about any medical bills I had been sent due to the injury, and she had the service department at the dealer include her email address on the claim so that a new garnish could be sent. Since the total loss of my camper she has been less than helpful, saying that my trailer was out of warranty when the injury occurred and that if I wanted to speak with someone concerning any medical bills and damages I would need to contact the manufacturer of the microwave garnish. Ms. Moore would not forward my phone call to any supervisor or manager, she told me that I would hear from someone else after they had time to review it. My concern is that it has been eight weeks since I first spoke with her regarding this injury, and every time I have spoken with her it is because I have made a phone call. She has never reached out to me.

Another thing that Ms. Moore said was that this is the first she has heard of a sharp garnish on a microwave and that even though the replacement that was sent was sharp, she doesn't think that this is a manufacturing problem. So my question to this forum is: who else has a Greystone microwave with sharp vents on the garnish? In the Surveyor 19BHLE it is placed near the floor where a small child could run their hand over it. Please check for your own safety, and that of your children.
