Well this is not good. 21 months after picking up this 2023 Europa 32KD, it developed a crack under the kitchen slide out. It only has 12000 miles on it...
I imagine this will greatly reduce the trade value when I upgrade next year

This crack by my slide happed to my 21 I5 as well, plus several others, unfortunately it’s somewhat common. I drove back to the factory from Colorado and they fixed it along with several other items. I would have thought they had a handle on the cracking issues by now. They did a great job fixing it but definitely an inconvenience.

I’m surprised Brian Clemens hasn’t commented on this matter. I seem to remember him discussing this in the past. There was a period a few years back where a line worker was mistakenly making the slide cut-outs with 90 degree corners, instead of rounding out the transitions.

Aggravating for certain, but not a technically difficult repair, apparently. I would contact Dynamax service, as it should be covered under the 2 year structural warranty.

lol....well, I do happen to have a full time job outside of the forums. I wish I was retired, but not quite yet.

v_maxed. Just reach out to customer service with those pictures. Contact Us - Dynamax RV and we can pull the PO's and see when exactly it was built.

We went from a fiberglass with a wood backer, to a thicker fiberglass without wood backer. The supplier neglected to tell us (until we saw the first crack), we had to route each corner (which we did not need to do before). So we can't just go by material because we did start routing as soon as we found out.

In any event, we have stood behind these. Especially on a 32KD where it is in front of the axle and pretty clear "too much tongue weight" is not a major factor.

There are a few easy ways to correct. No reason for that to show up on trade in.

Hahaha! No criticism intended. But you do often jump in on issues like this seemingly immediately, even at night and on weekends, as if you’re locked in a windowless, dark room in northern Indiana, repeating the mantra, “Must monitor forums”!!!

What is the date you had a "come to Jesus moment" and realized that fiberglass should not have square corners to prevent cracking and when was a wood backer removed from sdiewalls in favor of all fiberglass?

Thanks everyone. I have submitted a service request per Brian's recommendation.

Ah, no worries at all. I did not take it as such.

I don't recall. I just told our guys if it crops up, take care of it.

seen lots of stuff like that crack on boats tooo

get it attended to asap to stop water getting in
use some waterproof magic black tape to cover it

Don't make the repair harder to do by filling with some sort of goop stuff (no caulk or silicone)
