2023 Goshen International FROG Rally

Most people didn't like those sausages. I thought they were ok. Back home in Ohio now. Successful trip. All warranty issues resolved!

I didn't take a lot of pics, We were one of two Rockwood pop ups and there was one Rockwood Aframe. Had a very good time.

How many people would you say you interviewed?

Personally, I thought all the food was pretty good. On par with food at weddings where more than 500 people attend. Specifically, I liked the sausages. Best meal was seafood night - which had me worried, seafood for large groups is often really bad!
On the service side, I'm way out of warranty. I stopped by service to ask for advice on correcting one problem and to buy new wheel well trim. Got both issues fixed for free! Customer support from Forest River and Dometic way above my expectations.
Best seminars where by Dexter on brakes and all of Mike Sokol's sessions.
Dexter did a great job of explaining how the brakes work and solid recommendations. They had a hands on demonstration with actual brake sets. Explained how improper leveling of mulit-axle trailers can lead to both sway and premature tire wear.
Only real disappointment for me was the sweet corn give-away. As has happened in the past, they bought 80 or 90 bushels on Sweet Corn Charlies ears. However, this years crop doesn't seem as good as in past years. :(

Thanks for another GREAT rally, the volunteers were outstanding again this year plus seemed there were a lot more vendors than last year. Weather was touch and go at times and maybe the coolest temps ever!!!

Hey sailorsam which site are you in? I am in site 258, currently at laundry but will be back soon.
Sorry, I wasn't following the posts much. WIFi was non-existent at my site and there were several days when AT&T cell service was wonky. I did make a few posts when we were at a restaurant...
You probably saw me. I was the guy wearing the green Frog Rally hat with a small frog on the cap button. The button cover frogs were given away at the tadpole rallies several years ago. I was able to mooch several for when one hops off my hat. I tell folks that I wear it facing behind me so that I have someone watching my back - you never know what some Frogs will get up to!!! :roflblack: :signhavefun:

2023 rally review

Another really nice rally, with normal Indiana summer temps instead of boiling in heat wave like we did there 2 years ago. Along with all the thanks for the volunteers and people who worked so hard to pull this huge event off, special thanks for Debra in the service department getting my stabilizers replaced, even though it was outside the 2 model years or newer eligibility, because it was a known issue. Amish Kenny came by with his crew and fixed me up the 2nd day were where there. Very friendly and helpful service techs.

And I want to thank Ed Chupp and his colleague with Rockwood who came over and tried to resolve a water pumping failure on Saturday, the last day were were there, even after most people had departed. They had no obligation to help me after rally ended, yet they did. He confirmed I had a leak on my suction side of pump plumbing, and bypassed my water filter assembly using the limited plumbing parts they had on hand. Oh, and thanks dblr for finding them and sending Dave and them over to me in my hour of need! They genuinely seemed to care about my predicament.

We really enjoyed our optional tour of the RV Hall of Fame and museum and St. John river cruise. Food was as good as you can get feeding 800 people at a time. The fairground is really well maintained, and is a true gem. I attended the Airexcel/Coleman seminar and picked up useful AC info (Thanks Phil!). The gentleman from TST TPMS had a good seminar as well, despite fact I already have their system. I guess my only complaint would be the lamo continental breakfast you get on Saturday morning before you leave. Oh, and sound system needs improvement in the dining hall. The hall is so big and echoey, unless you were directly in front of speakers which were limited to area in front of stage, you couldn't hear ANYTHING. Sorry FROG Bob, didn't catch a word you said!

At least you got some corn! Was all gone by time I made my way over to vendors on Monday, and Tuesday we took a tour, so didn't get any then either. 2 years ago we got some and it was nice! Enjoying great Jersey corn now, grilled 6 ears last night, was like candy with kernels that just popped off into your mouth. Man, I love good corn on the cob.

Nice to see someone post a few pics. The hall has always been a problem for hearing the speakers and we have complained about this for years. Maybe some day it will get fixed. Later RJD

We had a great first time at the frog rally. The weather was a little disappointing on Tuesday for the flea market, however it ended being a good day for us. I want thank whoever found my wallet and turned it in at lost and found. It apparently slipped out of my pocket while enjoying the strawberry shortcake. You can imagine my panic when I realized my wallet was missing. Many thanks to the good and honest person who turned it in.

We lucked out with Tue weather, by time we did our riverboat cruise in afternoon, it had cleared up. Good news about recovering your wallet Richard. I always feel safe in our FROG bubble. Nearly a thousand FROGS there, and I always felt confident leaving my bicycle outside the seminar building, or the chow hall, or at my site without worrying about locking it up like I usually do.

Thought about you this week, In the employee break room on my 2nd job they were playing TRAILPARK BOYS and Jimmy Leahy was on the screen!

We also had a great time and are considering returning in 2024.

Finally! I think you are the 5th person on the forum who has any idea who Jim Leahy is!

Once I started watching Trailer Park Boys on Netflix I couldn't stop. Watched every episode.
It's addictive one you learn the characters. I began watching many years ago when I came home from working night shifts, looking for something mindless to watch to doze off to. End up rewatching them all. Several times. All 12 seasons. Congrats, you are the SIXTH member on the forum that is a fan!

Sorry that I didn't get on the internet much during the rally, but we are definitely coming back for the week again this year.! Will say Hi, if you are there again.

It's nice being so busy you don't have time to go online, like rally week. I'm taking a break from rally this year, been 2x so far. Doing the National Corvette Caravan this August instead.
