2023 Roo 233s Bunk Hinge Replacement

You named all the "issues" we have as well ;-)

This is our 2nd ROO, the first was the 233 when the kids still camped w/us. Once they were doing their own lives we fell in love with the 2 bunk 235 and seldom drop the back bunk. Even still, YES while I don't terribly hate the setup/tear-down... I dream of a day i can just avoid all that effort and spend more time camping! Add to that a walk around bed would be a nice change as well... i can accept the "loss of sleeping under canvas" which we enjoy for the improvements in heat/cool control that's for sure!

This inTech trailer we are thinking of is a rear bath, 30 foot "bunk house" which we don't need BUT it provides an awesome place to locate the litter box for our cats so its got some strong selling points for us. Your 5th floorplan is similar to some of the FR/Rockwood/Flagstaff versions we ALSO enjoyed spending time sitting in during the RV Super Show BUT at that time we weren't convinced a 5th wheel was in our cards. Who knows where things will end up, but until then I HOPE that all/any issues with the ROO are solved for now.

CONGRATS on your new rig, I hope you really enjoy all it offers and you DO get to use it OFTEN just like you shared, that is a great goal!!

After 10 years with our Roo 23SS, we sold it. Only because we retired and wanted something we could travel throughout the West for multiple months in a row
A hybrid didn't fit the bill for that type of lifestyle.
But we still miss it.
Gave our next TT to the sister in law, to live in, after we moved to Arizona permanently.
We know what new TT we want but I have to move up to a 3/4 ton first.

AND us current “ROO owners” STILL LOVE to see your shares, comments and feedback on these Forums Dan!!! You posses a wealth of experience and good ideas that I for one find helpful for sure! (I’m confident I’m not the only one too!)

Thanx, when I became a mod, I still owned the Roo. I was very protective of my fellow hybrid owners and kept up with their fixes, travels and ingenuity.
Hybrids are about as unique a RV as possible. A mix of popup and TT. You could sleep under canvas(which we still miss)or you could "turtle" and use it as a conventional TT.

We are considering purchasing a used 2018 Roo 233s which had a hinge issue that was repaired with the method stated above. I thought I would share pictures.
